Water mains, sewer lines, storm drains, septic systems, and deep excavation for residential, commercial, and municipal clients across Metro Detroit.

About This Service

Underground Work Done Right

Underground utility work requires the right equipment, the right permits, and a crew that knows what they're doing. Mistakes underground are expensive, dangerous, and sometimes catastrophic. At Delpres Services, we handle water mains, sewer lines, storm drains, and septic systems for residential, commercial, and municipal clients across Metro Detroit — with the experience and equipment to do it correctly the first time.

We work in Macomb County, Oakland County, St. Clair County, and Wayne County. We know the local code requirements, soil conditions, and utility infrastructure in each area. Whether you're connecting a new build to city water and sewer, replacing a failing septic system, or installing storm drainage for a commercial site, we handle the permits, the excavation, and the restoration from start to finish.

What We Handle

Water Main Installation & Repair

New service connections, main replacements, and emergency repairs for residential, commercial, and municipal water systems.

Our Process

01

Site Assessment

We evaluate scope, call MISS DIG for locates, identify utility conflicts, and pull all required permits before any excavation begins.

02

Excavation

Digging to spec with the appropriate equipment for site access, depth, and soil conditions.

03

Installation

Pipe, fitting, and connection work completed to code with proper bedding material and backfill specification.

04

Inspection & Testing

Pressure tests, camera inspections, or other required testing completed and documented before final backfill.

05

Backfill & Restore

Proper compaction in lifts to prevent future settlement. Disturbed surfaces — concrete, asphalt, or lawn — are restored.

Common Questions

What is MISS DIG and why does it matter?

MISS DIG is Michigan's underground utility notification system (call 811 before you dig). Before any excavation, we call for locates — this identifies buried gas, electric, phone, and water lines so we don't accidentally hit them. It's legally required and critical for job safety. Every Delpres Services excavation starts with proper locates.

How do I know if I need a sewer line replacement?

Warning signs include slow drains in multiple fixtures, sewage odors inside or outside the home, unusually green or soggy patches in the yard, and recurring backups. We can run a camera inspection to assess the actual condition of your line and give you an honest recommendation — repair or replace.

Do you handle emergency utility repairs after hours?

Yes. We maintain an emergency phone line available 24/7 for urgent utility failures — broken water mains, sewer collapses, and critical drainage issues. Call (877) 6-DELPRES. We serve Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne Counties.
